I spent some time tonight to sort out my self hosted webserver. Actually it’s an old laptop (netbook) if anyone remembers that phase. It came with 32GB of Storage but has since been upgraded to 250.
It was not working properly and got sent to me. I eventually installed Ubuntu on it with plans of experimenting with hosting websites from it.
Today I finally got that process set up
I was originally paying for a VPS from Digital Ocean but at $7 per month it still adds up. With faster internet being more common. Self hosting is more realistic.
